Customized Heating Security Plans

Bernville Quality Fuels offers Customized Home Heating Security Plans that will provide cost and energy savings all year long. Whether you have warm air furnaces, hot water boilers, steam boilers, or hot water heaters, one of our plans will have the home heating service coverage that will meet your needs.

Plan A – Basic Oil Service

For residential oil furnace, boiler or hot water heater inspection and tune-up.

  • $124.95 – plus parts – Residential home furnaces & boilers
  • $114.95 – plus parts – Modular home furnaces & oil fired hot water heaters

Plan A includes the following:

  1. Thoroughly vacuum and clean heater as needed, vent pipe, base of chimney and combustion chamber (if accessible)
  2. Replace nozzle (if necessary)
  3. Clean and adjust electrodes and high tension leads
  4. Check fuel pump, pump strainer and vacuum & pressure
  5. Check for transformer ignition or flame failure
  6. Complete draft test and adjust draft regulator accordingly
  7. Inspect oil lines for possible leaks
  8. Check oil motors, bearings and fan bearings
  9. Change oil filters and air filters
  10. Perform Bacharach combustion test and adjust for peak performance
  11. Check all safety controls for lock-out timing
  12. Check flue pipe for cracks and wear

Please note: Tune-ups requiring over 2.5 hours will be billed on a time and materials basis. Non-scheduled tune-ups will be billed at prevailing hourly rates and materials. Parts will be billed at prevailing rates at time of tune-up. Emergency service or additional work will be performed at prevailing hourly rate.

Plan B – Basic Gas Service

Residential propane or natural gas furnace, boiler, separate hot water heater inspection and tune-up.

  • $119.95 – plus parts – Residential gas furnaces and boilers
  • $74.95 – plus parts – Residential gas water heaters

Plan B includes the following:

  1. Thoroughly vacuum and clean heater (as needed), flue pipe, base of chimney and combustion chamber (if accessible)
  2. Inspect thermocouple, pilot orifice or glow coil
  3. Clean and adjust air tubes, burners and inducers
  4. Check vacuum and pressures
  5. Check for ignition or flame failure
  6. Inspect inside gas lines for leaks and corrosion
  7. Check oil motors and blower fan bearings
  8. Change air filters
  9. Check efficiency and adjust for peak performance
  10. Check all safety controls for lock-out timing

Please note: Tune-ups requiring over 2 hours will be billed on a time and materials basis. Non-scheduled tune-ups will be billed at prevailing hourly rates and materials. Parts will be billed at prevailing rates at time of tune-up. Emergency service or additional work will be performed at prevailing hourly rate. Customers purchasing liquid products or heating/cooling equipment qualify for tune-ups and emergency service for gas equipment.

Plan C – Premium Heating Security Plan

Premium heating security plan for oil and propane systems only. Addresses the concern of heating system breakdowns when you least expect them.

  • $194.95 – Hot water/steam boilers
  • $184.95 – Hot air furnaces
  • $94.95 – Hot water heaters

Plan C includes the following:

  1. All services under Plan A or Plan B
  2. No charge for labor or parts of your heating unit listed below. All services must be scheduled in advance and performed during normal business hours. No-heat emergency calls are also covered at no charge 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bernville Quality Fuels reserves the sole right to determine the emergency status of all service calls. Any non-emergency and/or after hours call requested by the customer will be invoiced at prevailing labor rates.
  3. Bernville Quality Fuels will repair or replace defective parts on your heating system as listed below for one (1) year from date contract is signed.

***Circulator or bearing assembly will not be covered unless installed with shut-off flanges. For additional protection add $15.00 for each additional circulator motor, thermostat or controls. All circulators must be covered on unit. Add this amount to your Customized Heating Security Plan. Plans are available for commercial boilers or furnaces with a firing rate 2.75 gallons per hour or higher. Contract prices are based on size and number of units. Coverage based on regular residential plans.

Plan D – Supreme Heating Security Plan

Supreme heating security plan for oil and propane systems only. Plan D provides total peace of mind, covering additional equipment and parts not covered under Plan C.

  • $264.95 – Oil-propane hot water/steam system
  • $244.95 – Oil-propane forced hot air system

Plan D includes the following:

  1. All services under Plan A
  2. No charge for labor or parts of your heating unit except as listed below. All services must be scheduled in advance and performed during normal business hours. No-heat emergency calls are covered at no charge 24 hours a day – seven days a week. Bernville Quality Fuels reserves the sole right to determine the emergency status of all service calls. Any non-emergency and/or after hours call requested by customer will be invoiced at prevailing labor rates.
  • Heat exchanger or boiler shell
  • Hot water coil and gasket
  • Air conditioner parts
  • Humidifier parts and service, unless specified, for an additional $25.00
  • Electronic air cleaner, unless specified, for an additional $49.00
  • Non-electronic air cleaner, unless specified for an additional $40.00
  • Indirect water heater and controls, unless specified, for an additional $49.00
  • Oil tanks covered by the TankSure Program Benefits. One (1) tank covered, each additional tank $39.95 (pending tank approval).
  • Each additional circulator or zone valve and controls add $15.00 (all circulators and zone valves must be included. This plan covers circulators and bearing assembly with or without shut-offs.)
  • All programmable thermostats $15.00
  • Heating distribution units (radiators, baseboard radiation, piping, ductwork, etc.)
  • Domestic hot water coil, gasket, tempering valve, or coil cleaning
  • Separate power ventors or motorized zone dampers and controls

Terms & Conditions

By selecting the services under one of the Bernville Quality Fuels Customized Heating Security Plans, both parties agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The effective period of the plan shall be one year commencing from contract date, subject to prior Bernville Quality Fuels inspection and approval of customer’s heating equipment as suitable for inclusion under plan.
  2. Plan covers only repairs and replacement of parts specified herein which result from normal operation of heating equipment during the effective period of the plan.
  3. Plan does not cover water leaks, water damage or damage caused by excessive dampness in customer’s basement.
  4. Bernville Quality Fuels shall not be liable for failure or delay to provide service called for under this plan if failure or delay results from:
    • Strike or other labor disturbance
    • Fire
    • Flood
    • Lightning or power surges
    • Other acts of God
    • Supply shortages
    • Governmental laws or regulations
    • Supplier’s inability to supply parts
    • Failure of customer’s supply of electricity
  5. Bernville Quality Fuels shall not be liable under Customized Heating Security Plans for customer failure to use ordinary care in the operation of heating equipment, including but not limited to: customer failure to keep adequate water in the boiler (if applicable), blown fuses, failure to turn on main switch, thrown circuit breakers or any other cause unrelated to normal operation of heating equipment which may affect Bernville Quality Fuels’ ability to fulfill its obligations under the terms in plan.
  6. Fuel flow problems directly related to storage of fuels are not covered under this plan.
  7. Low pressure, rotary-type and wood/oil combination units are not covered under plan.
  8. If/when, due to age or obsolescence, it is no longer practical to continue servicing customer’s equipment, Bernville Quality Fuels will modernize said equipment (with customer approval and at customer’s expense) which will continue this agreement.
  9. Liability under this plan is limited to the services specified. Bernville Quality Fuels shall not be liable for any consequential damages in any way arising out of performance or non-performance under these Terms & Conditions.
  10. Plan shall be automatically renewed unless cancelled by either party giving notice in writing prior to the expiration date.
  11. All parts, equipment and/or labor not covered in plan will be charged to the customer at prevailing rates. They are:
    • Humidifiers*
    • Flue devices (power ventors, draft inducers, etc.)
    • Electronic air cleaners*
    • Heat distributing units (radiators, baseboard radiation, piping, ductwork, etc.)
    • Boiler and jacket on hot water units
    • Domestic hot water coil and tempering valves
    • Automatic water feeders*
    • Zone valves*
    • Relief valves*
    • Flow control valve*
    • Motorized zone dampers
    • Air conditioning, propane gas, and heat pump equipment

*Not applicable with Plan D

  1. All heating oil and propane gas requirements must be purchased from Bernville Quality Fuels during the term of this agreement under the automatic delivery system and paid for under the credit terms established. Minimum usage of 250 gallon required.
  2. Any customer who switches from automatic delivery to will call or is switched by the credit department to will call due to credit issues will have their service contract deemed null and void. NO refunds permitted.
  3. Draining expansion tank and/or bleeding air from the radiation is not covered under Plans A, B or C. This can be done at the time of the cleaning upon request.
  4. All service work on heating system must be performed by Bernville Quality Fuels. Any work performed by the owner or an outside contractor will null and void the contract until a chargeable inspection is completed and approved by Bernville Quality Fuels.

Please note: All units must be cleaned or approved before contract can go into effect.

Customized Air Conditioner & Heat Pump System Security Service Plans

Providing prompt and professional service on a wide range of central air conditioners and heat pump equipment.

Every year grass clippings, dirt, and insects build up in your system and reduces its efficiency. Corrosion can poke holes in your refrigerant lines. A yearly Bernville Fuels tune-up will save money, prevent problems and extend the life of your system. Parts are not covered under this plan.

When cooling and heating capacity is lost, you may not know you’re in trouble until you really need your system running at peak performance.

Air Conditioner and Heat Pump Tune-up & Inspection

  • $104.95 – Air conditioner plus parts. Includes ductless systems, one (1) indoor unit. Additional $10.00 for each indoor unit
  • $129.95 – Heat pump plus parts

Plan includes the following:

  • Air filter – annual tune-up only
  • Evaluate, clean and test all operating components on the system
  • Lubricate fans and motors as necessary
  • Check electric voltage to unit
  • Check refrigerant charge
  • Check and replace blower belt, if necessary
  • Check balance of compressor
  • Clean debris from outside of condenser
  • Clean evaporator coil, if necessary
  • Check condensate pump
  • Check condensate drain
  • Clean condensate pan and safety pan
  • Check contactor points for proper settings
  • Check blower bearings and operation
  • Check and repair any insulation on suction line, if necessary
  • Check thermostat for level and cycle operation
  • Measure temperature/pressure relationship for efficiency of condenser unit
  • Test disconnect switch for safety shutdown of condenser

Please Note: Bernville Quality Fuels will endeavor to provide prompt and efficient service. Weather conditions and workload govern our response times. Due to safety issues related to working outside in darkness, heat and/or rain, Bernville Quality Fuels reserves the right to cancel service work on equipment, should these conditions exist. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However routine service will be performed during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, except holidays. Bernville Quality Fuels will not be responsible for direct or consequential damages, illness or injury caused by delays, failure to service, unavailability of parts, labor difficulties, high utility bills and other conditions beyond the control of Bernville Quality Fuels.

Tune-up and inspection rate is based on a maximum of 2 hours labor. Parts will be invoiced at prevailing rates at time of tune-up. Additional work or emergency service will be performed at liquid customer/non-liquid customer prevailing hourly rate.

Premium Central Air Conditioner and Heat Pump

Comfort Coverage Agreement

  • PLAN I01: $169.95 – Air conditioner condenser and coil. Includes ductless systems, one (1) indoor unit. Additional $15.00 for each indoor unit.
  • PLAN J01: $209.95 – Air conditioner condenser and air handler
  • PLAN K01: $194.95 – Heat pump condenser and coil
  • PLAN L01: $239.95 – Heat pump condenser and air handler

Our Premium Comfort Plans cover most parts that typically go wrong with your system. This also includes a spring tune-up and inspection.

Service under the Premium Comfort Plans will be provided during normal business hours 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday, except holidays. Labor costs are covered by this contract as well as the repair or replacement of the following parts:

All Programmable Thermostats – additional $15.00

  • Prevailing rates will be charged if any of the following occur:
  • An electrical switch is off, or breaker or fuses are blown
  • Thermostat is not set properly or not in correct mode
  • If air filters are found to be the cause of the problem (other than at the time of the tune-up)
  • If the unit has been serviced by anyone other than a Bernville Quality Fuels technician.
  • Any service is provided after normal working hours
  • Any compressor is not under manufacturer’s part warranty, plus labor
  • Any refrigerant leaks are repaired (if approved by the customer, will be performed at our normal prevailing rates

  1. The effective period of this plan shall be for one (1) year commencing from the date contract is signed, subject to prior Bernville Quality Fuels inspection and name brand approval of customer’s equipment as suitable for inclusion under plan.
  2. Plan covers only those repairs and replacement of parts specified herein which result from normal operation of air conditioner or heat pump equipment during the effective time period of the plan. Equipment with pre-existing conditions requiring repair will not be covered by plan.
  3. Bernville Quality Fuels shall not be liable for failure to delay to provide the service called for under this plan, if such failure or delay results from:
    • Strike or other labor disturbance
    • Fire
    • Flood
    • Lightning
    • Other acts of God
    • Supply shortages
    • Governmental laws or regulations
    • Supplier’s inability to supply parts
    • Failure of customer’s supply of electricity, power surges
  4. Bernville Quality Fuels shall not be liable under these plans for customer’s failure to use ordinary care in the operation of equipment, including but not limited to blown fuses, failure to turn on main switch, thrown circuit breakers or any other cause unrelated to normal operation of equipment which may affect Bernville Quality Fuels ability to fulfill its obligations under the Terms & Conditions in plan.
  5. Liability under plan is limited to the services specified. Bernville Quality Fuels shall not be liable for any consequential damages in any way arising out of performance or non-performance under contract.

This plan shall be automatically renewed unless canceled by either party providing notice in writing prior to the expiration date.

A plan will be null and void if the customer fails to maintain our credit terms of 30 days. If payment of plan falls beyond the thirty days, plan will be voided and customer will be charged prevailing labor and parts rates at time of service.

NO REFUNDS ON PLAN COVERAGE.

Plans and rates are available for commercial units based on make, size and location of units. An energy consultant must provide prices.

  11. All heating oil and propane gas requirements must be purchased from Bernville Quality Fuels during the term of this agreement under the automatic delivery system and paid for under the credit terms established. Four hundred (400) gallons minimum usage required.
  12. Any customer who switches from automatic delivery to will call or is switched by the credit department to will call due to credit issues will have their service contract deemed null and void. NO refunds.
  13. Draining expansion tank and/or bleeding air from the radiation is not covered under Plan C. This can be done at the time of the cleaning upon request.
  14. Plans and rates are available for commercial units based on make, size a
    /li/li First time tune-ups requiring over 2.5 hours, or repairs and replacement of parts, will not be covered, but will be billed at prevailing hourly rates and materials.nd location of units. An energy consultant must provide prices.
  15. All service work on heating system must be performed by Bernvil/li/ollile Quality Fuels. Any work performed by the owner or another contractor will null and void contract until a chargeable inspection is completed and approved by Bernville Quality.
